Do Good Wisconsin Provides Support for Teachers Statewide

Do Good Wisconsin is proud to announce its continued commitment to supporting educators across the state by providing school supply boxes and first-time teacher shopping sprees. For the last seven years, Do Good Wisconsin has been working to ease the financial burden many teachers face by ensuring classrooms are stocked and ready for a successful school year.

This year, 350 teachers from schools across Wisconsin will receive support from Do Good Wisconsin through these efforts. First-time teachers received customized shopping sprees to help them build their classroom essentials, while returning educators benefited from curated supply boxes filled with much-needed materials.

“Our educators spend hundreds of dollars of their own money each year to prepare their classrooms,” Eric Salzwedel, co-founder and executive director at Do Good Wisconsin, said. “We want to support the people who make a difference in our communities every single day, and show them that their work matters and that they are not alone.”

This year, Do Good Wisconsin increased its goal for the Teacher Supply Drive from 300 to 350 school supply boxes—and achieved it.

In early June, educators from across Wisconsin were invited to apply to receive a school supply box. Nearly 900 applications were submitted, highlighting the continued need for classroom resources. While the organization's long-term goal is to provide a box to every educator who applies, each annual increase allows Do Good Wisconsin to support more teachers and classrooms across the state.

Do Good Wisconsin board members, ambassadors and volunteers will assemble the school supply boxes on Saturday, July 12. The boxes will then be distributed to educators in communities throughout Wisconsin.

Do Good Wisconsin is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fueling the good that is already happening across the state. From highlighting acts of kindness to organizing grassroots campaigns that meet real needs in local communities, Do Good Wisconsin exists to uplift individuals, organizations, and causes that make Wisconsin a better place for everyone.

This initiative is made possible by generous donors, volunteers, and community partners who believe in the power of kindness and the lasting impact of investing in educators.
